The institution of slavery in the United States caused many problems in the United
States. Slaves wished to seek the abolition of slavery so they acted and spoke
of what they thought about slavery. These caused the owners of slaves to be more
harsh on the slaves and make them work more, but that did not stop the free
slaves to accomplish what they wish. The free African American slaves protested
against their owners to free the slaves. These mostly happen in the North since
they strongly did not believe in slavery and did not allow it. Free slaves would
of not work as usual. They would take their time and work slower and sometimes
not even work at all to show that they did not wanted slavery. By resisting to
work and not getting the job done they would angered their owners and thats what
they wished to do. They rebelled against their owners back in the South. At
first the owners took the protest as a joke and did not mind the free slaves
protesting and thought that they would get tired of getting ignored and then
continued back to work. But the African American free slaves did not think of
giving up. They protest all day instead of working in the plantations. Day by
day they protested and the owners got more worried and worried. Until slaves
were freed the free slaves refused to do work. Owners refused to do as what they
were told especially coming from low class slaves. Owners would threatened them
to go back to work or else they would suffer severe consequences, but the free
African American slaves did not listen to what the owners would say. Instead
that motivated them more. Now instead of refusing to work they would start
marching. Those actions would anger the owners even more and somewhat provoke
them to free the slaves, but they did not so free slaves continued to march and
protest. At last the free African American accomplished what they intended to
do. Owners grew tired of all the protest and freed the slaves. From the actions
that free African American did the conclusion i could draw is that if you never
give up and keep on trying you’ll succeed and accomplish what you set up to no
matter how long it would take. Slavery was a hard obstacle for slaves to
overcome, but they accomplish to not have slavery any more no matter how long it
took them.
